As that six out of eight of my great grandparents have deep roots in the province of Quebec. Discovering and chasing down French-Canadian ancestry is my passion.

Most French-Canadians can trace their lineage back to five families that were the progenitors of Quebec. "The Super Couples of New France" are Jehan Guyon and Mathurine Robin, Zacharie Cloutier and Xainte Dupont, Jacques Archambault and Francoise Tourault, Marin Boucher and Perrine Mallet, and Noel Langlois and Francoise Grenier. Between the five couples by 1800 it was estimated they had over 42,500 descendants. I'm proud to state that I descend from all five of these couples . I can help you figure out if you do too.
